Rock: Mixture of minerals.

Minerals: 1 type of molecules/ cristals arranged in a certain pattern.

Crystals: Atoms/ Molocules arranged in a certain pattern Cool slow = large cristals. & Cool Fast = small cristals.

Type of rock: Sedimentary, igneous, Metamorphic.

Rock cycle: A prosses in which all rocks are recycled or changed.

Igneous Rock: Fireborn melted then cooled.

Sedimentary Rock: Weathered fragments/ particles/ sedimentscemented together.

Metamorphic Rock: Rock changedby Heat & Pressure or a chemical reaction.

How to identify what type of rock?

Igneous Rocks: Mixed or scrambled crystals.

Sedimentary Rock: Gull and earthy looking/ concreate looking.

Metamorphc Rock: layered, Flatened Flacky bent.

Rock's Mineral's Crystal's and gem's

Rock: Natural, solid one + minerals.
Minerals: Natural, solid, crystal structure inorganic..
Nonliving material
One + elements

Two types of minerals
1. Native elements AKA pure element's
A. Copper
B. Silver
C. Gold.ect

2.  Compound of 2 + elements.
A. Hematite source of iron.
B. Quartz silicon + oxygen.
C. Pyrite- fools gold iron + sulfer.

Crystal: 3-D structure One + Minerals
Composition is always the same.

Gem: Precious / semi- precious usually mined from valued for beauty ruby .ect

Faux: Fake

Cultured: Real but man multipulated pearls - man inserts the irritant that causes the pearl to form.

Zircon/ zirconia: Fake crystals.

Ore:Mineral mined for profit must have to be an ore.

Magma

A. as it cools denser materials settle out to the bottom in layers.

Intrusive: Cooled Below  the Earth's surface.

Extrusive: Cooled above the Earth's Surface.

B. Some minerals separate and recombine.
1. Plantinum
2. Chromium

Erosion: Transport  of minerals.

Weathering: Break down of materials into smaller part's.
